Algorithms Training Course

Algorithms
This course presents algorithms used in the process of spectroscopy for understanding and application. The emphasis is on significant formulas, and their development from basic principles derived from the physical sciences. Explanatory text is organized in a form most suitable for the particular subject matter discussed. The course aims to provide an insight and basis for the broad specialties that spectroscopy presents – quantum mechanics, nuclear theory, and electronic interpretation. Topics include: nuclear mass and stability, nuclear interactions, decay modes, the Compton effect, and final computation formulas integrating statistical factors. All formulas are carefully explained and illustrated, with the supporting reference materials included. At the completion of this course, the student has a firm foundation in nuclear instrumentation design and function with respect to interpretation of atomic matter interactions.

This course is intended for persons with a progressive knowledge of nuclear physics and their application in real world scenarios.
