ORTEC Products Enhanced with Distribution Agreement
with Sabury Software Solutions, LLC

Oak Ridge, TN, January 07, 2002 –Advanced Measurement Technology, a division of AMETEK, Inc. which includes ORTEC products, announced today that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Sabury Software Solutions, LLC. The distribution agreement allows the sale and distribution of Sabury’s Global Value software for use in production counting laboratory systems. The software is particularly relevant for nuclear power station applications. Global Value works in conjunction with ORTEC’s flagship gamma spectroscopy acquisition and analysis software, GammaVision-32, to provide customized acquisition and reporting features needed to meet the site-specific requirements of counting room operations. Global Value software is already in use at radiochemistry laboratories at nuclear power stations in the US.

The combination of Global Value software job streaming and reporting with GammaVision software integrated acquisition and analysis gives point-and-click ease of use to operators while at the same time giving supervisors the report they need to meet their regulatory requirements. Global Value software can be adapted on-site by the users or through ORTEC as part of the implementation package in such a way as to minimize cross-training programs for users. Global Value software and GammaVision-32 software are just parts of a complete solution available from ORTEC designed to simplify and standardize plant operations across all facilities of large nuclear power production companies. This latest agreement furthers ORTEC’s position of providing global solutions to reduce operating costs while gaining higher efficiency from the radiochemistry laboratories.
