News Release RENAISSANCE Makes Old Whole-Body Counters New
Again! RENAISSANCE™, a new concept from ORTEC, rescues aging and downright
old whole-body counters, and transforms them into modern, PC-controlled systems, operating
under Windows® NT or Windows 95. Renaissance adds
modern data collection devices and new Renaissance software. The result is simultaneous,
truly live updates of spectra from as many as four sodium-iodide detectors. Renaissance is
fully compatible with Microsoft® Excel®
and Access®.
The functioning of Renaissance is divided into Supervisor and Operator
modes. The Supervisor sets up the system and determines the measurement parameters, then
the Operator begins each measurement.
Thanks to CONNECTIONS, the ultimate network capability tool, the
whole-body counter may operate as a member of an existing Ethernet network or as a
standalone counting station. |
