The ORTEC/Protean Instrument Corporation Alliance Partnership is pleased to announce CE certification is now available for the four most popular of Protean Instruments products for low background alpha-beta counters. These high performance instruments are used for radioactive particle emission counting and analysis.

Certificates of Conformance are now available for the MPC-2000 and MPC-9300 manual counting systems, as well as the popular WPC-9550 automatic and MDS-line of multi-detector systems. The Protean line of products provides the lowest background count rates in the industry, combined with industry-leading low-cost continuous operation and ease of maintenance design.

CE certification is necessary for compliance to European Union electronic emissions and interference standards. The certificates now accompany each instrument delivered into the European Community Member States and are available upon request. The Alliance is pleased to now make these instruments available for its European customers and expects that compliance with the European Standard will strengthen its position in the European market place.

The certifications further enhance the relationship of these two companies that combine to offer to the radiation measurement community a complete range of high-performance detectors and electronics, as well as counting and spectral analysis software.
