ORTEC and Lockheed Martin Sign Nuclear Waste Software License Agreement

ORTEC and Lockheed Martin Energy Systems have entered into a licensing agreement for specialized software for nuclear waste applications. The license covers the latest version of the ISOTOPIC code, developed at the Oak Ridge K-25 facility. ISOTOPIC, in conjunction with GammaVision™ from ORTEC, analyzes HPGe detector gamma-ray spectra from waste in a wide variety of forms, geometries and matrices, without the need for representative standards. It can also determine ²³⁵U enrichment in fissile waste. The ISOTOPIC code operates under Windows^® and is being integrated within the ORTEC CONNECTIONS Windows/Windows 95/Windows NT spectroscopy environment for ease of use and reliability.
