New Employee at
ORTEC Dr. Richard Hagenauer has joined the ORTEC
Safeguards/NDA group in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, from Lockheed Martin Energy Systems (LMES).
In this capacity, he will work in all areas of Safeguards/NDA presently served by ORTEC.
Dr. Hagenauer brings with him a wealth of knowledge in
Safeguards and Non-Destructive Assay techniques (NDA) based on his 27 years of work in the
industry. Most recently, he has been working on NDA methods associated with uranium holdup
utilizing neutron and gamma-ray techniques. He developed the ISOTOPIC program (licensed to
ORTEC by LMES) for applications relating to the analysis of gamma-ray emitters in
poorly-characterized matrices and containers.He is a member of the ASTM C26.10 NDA Subcommittee.
