Room-Temperature CZTPack Provides Requisite
Resolution CZTPack from ORTEC®, the first medium-resolution gamma spectrometer for nuclear Safeguards measurements, is optimal when a portable, room-temperature detector is needed by nuclear safeguards or customs inspectors for counter-smuggling and material-verification measurements. CZTPack, which incorporates a CZT (cadmium zinc telluride) room-temperature radiation detector, can quantify the extent of uranium enrichment (235U concentrations) in materials that require analysis. It can also be used for other gamma- and x-ray measurements which require moderately good resolution, portability, and small size. CZTPack is the result of a collaboration between ORTEC and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. CZTPack is available in a number of configurations including ScanPack, a complete measurement package consisting of the MicroNomad Portable Spectrometer, CZTPack and detector, and ORTEC spectrometry software. |
