ORTEC announces an agreement to distribute the Cheesecote Mountain CAMAC CMC203 FERA¹ Driver, Memory and Histogrammer through the worldwide ORTEC sales network. The CMC203 replaces the discontinued LeCroy 4301 FERA Driver and the 4302 Dual-Port Memory for supporting list-mode readout of CAMAC ADC’s over the fast FERAbus. In addition to combining the Driver and FIFO Memory functions of the LeCroy 4301 and 4302, the CMC203 adds a histogramming mode that can accommodate multiple ADCs. The CMC203 incorporates many additional features sought by experienced FERAbus users. Most notably, it provides several means of automatic recovery from uncompleted events. With the CMC203 several FERA readout loops can be daisy-chained and cascaded to expand the system beyond one CAMAC crate.

The CMC203 supports fast FERAbus readout with the LeCroy 4300B ADC and 3377 TDC, the ORTEC AD114, AD413A, 4418Q, 4418V, and 4418T ADCs, as well as the SILENA 4418Q, 4418V, and 4418T ADCs.
