92X-II Gamma-Ray Spectrometer Connects Directly
to Ethernet The new 92X-II Gamma-Ray Spectrometer from ORTEC can be connected
directly to an Ethernet to provide a convenient solution for high-performance germanium
gamma-ray spectroscopy. ORTEC's MAESTRO™ MCA
Emulation software provides PC control across the Ethernet in any Windows®
environment, including NT.
The unimaginative name 92X-II is the responsibility of ORTEC's
marketing department! The 92X-II provides, in a single, computer-controlled, integrated
package, all necessary supporting electronics, specifically, a high-grade spectroscopy
amplifier with a triangular-filter amplifier and automatic PZ cancellation, a 16k-channel
ADC with <7 µs conversion time, a digital spectrum stabilizer, and a bias supply for
Ge (and also NaI) detectors. |
