Economic Dual-Input Multi-Channel Analyzer System
Is Offered in a Single-Width NIM Module

OAK RIDGE, TN–The ORTEC® business unit of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology has released a new dual-input MCA (Multi-Channel Analyzer) in a single-width NIM Module that is both economical and fast.  The unit provides two complete 16K channel MCAs for use with analog spectroscopy amplifiers.

 The single-width NIM uses a USB 2.0 connection for interfacing with a PC and comes complete with MAESTRO analytical software. Zero Dead Time (ZDT) corrections also are included without additional modules or software.  

Ben Kennedy, Product Manager for Research Electronics, states, “This single-width Nuclear Instrument Module (NIM) provides two completely independent MCA’s with standard gate and logic connections for dead time corrections, which is an advantage for universities and researchers running multiple tests simultaneously.”
