4006 Minibin Provides CONCENTRATED POWER

OAK RIDGE, TN, April 10, 2000– The ORTEC Model 4006 Minibin and Power Supply provides 120 W of dc power in a compact table-top package. It accommodates up to 6 single-width NIM modules, and supplies all six levels of dc power required by the newest modules. The exceptionally high output currents are 4 A at ±6 V, 1.5 A at ±12 V, and 0.75 A at ±24 V. Crowbar devices protect integrated circuits in the modules against overvoltages on the ±6-V lines, and current fold-back circuits automatically protect the power supply against overloads. Green/red LEDs on the front panel provide in-regulation verification at a glance. Two, industry-standard preamplifier power connectors simplify preamplifier hookups. The Model 4006 operates from 100, 120, 220, or 240 V ac at 50 or 60 Hz. All heat sinks are internal, so that there are no hot surfaces that can be accidentally touched.
