Applications We ServeSolutions based upon ORTEC expertise and products for radiation and Fast Timing Spectroscopy answer a broad range of application needs. ORTEC Gamma Spectroscopy and Alpha Spectroscopy workstations are used in Counting Laboratories associated with nuclear power plant operation, as are products for Whole Body Counting (Bioassay). Portable Gamma-Spectroscopy Systems are employed in Waste Assay and environmental restoration, as well as in Nuclear Safeguards and MPC&A. Most recently ORTEC has extended its product range with an array of Nuclide Identifier Systems specifically designed to meet the needs of organizations who are engaged in the prevention of Illicit Trafficking of Nuclear Materials and in the defeat of radiological terrorism, more generally referred to as “Homeland Security”.
