Cryostats and Dewars

The cryostat and dewar drawings that follow are to be used in conjunction with the accompanying table of dimensions.

(Detector elements to be used with low-background cryostats.)

Note that there is an "overlap" of coaxial detector efficiency versus endcap diameter. For example, a 35–40% efficiency detector, depending on diameter, may fit in either a standard or "oversize" endcap. The PROFILE Series GEM Detectors have warranted crystal dimensions and consequentially have guaranteed endcap dimensions, removing this source of ambiguity. If this, or any other dimension is critical, please specify at time of order.
